Lazy Sundays
I love sundays. I love love lovvve that I now have sundays and mondays off ! Today was a pretty lazy day.. Me and Matt made breakfast together this morning (one of my favorite things about sundays). Then we just played video games all day, well Matt did. I sat beside him most of the day and painted. I started one of my bigger canvasas that I've just been staring at for the last few weeks. It rained all day so I didn't feel so guilty not getting out to do much of anything. I love sitting inside with the fire place on in a blanket all day when its rainy and stormy.
Tonight we went and had some dinner and drinks at a pub we always go too. And I had cheesecake nommm I love cheesecake. Can't resist cheesecake.
Now we are just sitting around, the day has gone by way to fast and Matt went to get me some mikes hard lemonade cuz I've been craving some heh.
Tomorrow I'll actually get some stuff done... Hopefully. I have lots of laundry to catch up on, probably paint some more.. thrifting maybe.. And for sure need to go get some new makeup since I've been scraping by for the past few days.
Well goodnight all I'm gonna get comfy again and drink some mikes!

Tattoo!
So I got my tattoo FINALLY yesterday. Its been a long time comming! I was in the chair for 4 hours, after abuot 2 and a half I didnt think I could take it anymore, but i stuck it out and I'm so glad I did!
This tattoo means a lot to me. For one I have collected owls since I was about 8 years old and think they are the neatest birds. I love all bird but owls are defiantly at the top of my list. My grandma used to collect owl, she loved them. I was 6 when my grandma passed away from cancer. When she passed away my aunt got her collection of owls which she then gave to me because I was always an animal/bird lover. Ever since then every time I've gone to a garage sale, thrift store or anywhere and saw an owl I needed it. I kind of forgot about my collection for a while but my love of owls never died!
So this tattoo is completely dedicated to my grandma who was an amazing woman and we all miss her dearly. Also for all the little owlies out there that I love so much. :)
The tattoo itself was also to prove to myself I could do it all at once and that pain is only temporary and the payoff is always worth it.
So here it is! these pictures of pretty crappy and its pretty swollen right but I'll take some more later

Noodles
Hello!
I just thought I'd make a little post and share some things from the past week.
I've been working tons, and going to classes on my days off. March is a slow month for clients, but a very busy month for classes (they try and keep us busy) we went to a class today in Victory ( its about two hours from where we live ) I had to get up at the ungodly hour of 6am, I am definatly not a morning person. The class was informative but the best part was noodle box!! Noodle box is an amazing thai food take out place with cute little chinese takeout boxes and the most amazing food. It made the whole day worth it. The free samiches we got while at the class were'nt to bad either heh.
I worked most of the week but took Tuesday off because I wasn't feeling so great. I was actually pretty sick for a few days it was not fun at all. But I drank lots of tea took, took tons of vit C and ate lots of noodles with cayenne. I did get some thrifting in somewhere in there. I found an adorable owl napkin holder (that will probably never hold napkins) and an awesome skirt that I belted into being a cute little dress.
Tomorrow .. I get my tattoo! I am getting nervous, but also EXTREMELY excited!! wish me luck, I'm hoping to be able to finish it in one sitting!!
So I'll leave you with a couple pictures from the past week

This week
I had a super exciting package waiting for my when i got from work today! online shopping makes buying things so much more exciting <3
One of the things I got was this
So in love with it
I also found a lovely matryoshka the other day for 2 bucks at the thrift store. love her too.
And I colored my hair again the other day. I put some more green in it and a few purple chunks this time as well. They are super pretty colors but the pictures I have don't do them much justice. There is a picture on my flickr right now. I'll try and take some better pictures later probably.

Old Country Market
This is a local favorite. the old country market or goats on the roof. its called that because.. goats live on the roof! its awesome, they have tons of really neat stuff here all the time, and lots of yummy food, a lot of local and organic groceries. they have a bakery with pizzas, breads, cookies and other sweet baked things . They also have a whole section of the market with tons of different stuff like toys, art supplies, dishes and tons of other random goodies. Another part is the restaurant which has great food too. The picture above is a picture of the ice cream shop, they have a lot of ice cream haha :D
They're are more little shops all around the area of the market too. All the stores are so unique and cute. They're is also a big fruit and veggie market outback that sells mostly local and organic fruits and veggies. And behind that is a big beautiful house full of amazing handmade furniture.
I have been going to the OCM since I was a little kid and every year they have new exciting stuff but its never changed too much. Here are some more pictures, I love taking pictures here.
I LOVED these little guys! They were so neat I wanted to get one of each. But I cant buy to much stuff before we move because we really have no more room right now... but once we do move I'm gonna buy a bunch and hang them like this somewhere off branches. The second ones were made out of pine cones! and there were lots of other ones too.
I want all they're dishes
Wonderland
So I have to say I am getting very excited about the new Alice in Wonderland which comes out this friday. Not only am I so excited because Alice in Wonderland has been my all time favorite movies/books of all time. But also because my work has a promotion going on with the theater in the mall and everyone from our work is getting a privite screening on opening night after the theater closes!! I'm so excited! it will be in 3d of course, and we get all the free popcorn and pop we want, amazing! There 10 girls at my work and everyone is aloud to bring one guest so I even get to bring Matt :D
I dont know what is is about Alice in Wonderland that I've always been so drawn to, something about this other world has always seemed so appealing. We had a whole series of books that were probably from the 70's. The books with all in blue and white, I used to look through them forever as a kid and imagine myself going to wonderland. Thinking about it now a lot of the things in the book were sort of twisted in that wonderland kind of way but they never scared me at all. I wish I still had those books!
I really hope the new movie lives up to my expectations.

Tofu Curry
I make this a lot, so easy and so yummy. All i do is fry up tons of veggies, tofu, cashews, and then add milk ( I usually use soy) and I use the glico curry blocks. You mix it all together and done! And we usually eat it over rice nom nom nom. I like the red curry but sometimes we use the green or yellow too if I feel like something a little spicier.

Hair Stuffs
So I decided I would start doing some posts about hair. Processes, products I like, styling tips, colors and cuts I've done. Advice from a Hairstylist. So feel free to ask any questions you might have!
So here's a color correction I did a few weeks ago. A good reminder about how bad box dyes can go. Lots of people box dye their hair and do an awesome job. On the other hand, a lot of people buy a box of hair color from the drugstore expecting to get the color shown on the box. There is SO much more to take into consideration, underlying pigment, existing color, porus ends, natural regrowth. If you have anything but natural blonde hair, you probably wont get the results you expect to get. and most of the time in the end you spend more money when you were trying to save a few bucks. So that pumpkin spice latte copper brown is now more like a baby food orange, and you come see me to get it fixed. All of the sudden what originally would have cost you around 70 dollars for me to do, now is a MUCH bigger process.. and is costing you a lot more.
So heres a little peak into a color correction
This lovely girl had boxed dyed her hair. As you will see, it didn't come out anything like she wanted it. She was about 5 different colors, she had banding and of course the hair was damaged and porus. It took about 3 hours, four color formulas and a lot of foil. But it was worth it in the end!

TaDa!
and really, this was actually an easy one compared to some I've done. So my best advice is, know what your getting into! Don't expect that coloring your hair yourself will be any easier or cheaper. In most cases its neither cheap or easy if it doesn't turn out. So always know what your getting into :)
thats all for now

John Paul Pet
I have to share this. I mentioned in a previous post about being excited about the new paul mitchelle pet line. Its really awesome, I bough the waterless foam shampoo and the conditioning tea tree spray from work the other day and I am absolutly bananas over them!
The foam shampoo is great because our pup hates being bathed. The funny thing is, Koda loves water.. He swims and swims all summer long. I guess the bathtub can be a scarey thing for a lot of dogs though, and being that hes about 60 lbs its always quite the task just trying to get him in there.. esspescailly if Matts not home. So I love this waterless shampoo, I just put it all over him and brush it out and it works really well!
The tea tree spray is great too. I love tea tree, it cures all haha. It also repells fleas and tics which is an awesome natural benifit. I have been useing it on my cat too and she loves it! She just sits there with the most loving look on her face while I spray and brush her. Both of the coats are so incredibly shiny and soft now.
The line is a lot bigger and I want to try everything in it. I have a sample of the oatmeal shampoo that I will also try if I can every get him into the bathtub.
All the products are also very afforable which I love. And I think my favorite part is at the bottom of every bottle where is says "Cruelty Free, Tested On Humans First" heh.
Being a hairstylist, I always try and get my clients on good quality salon products and now there pets can have the same luxuries ! and at a great price, even better! I love it :D
